The Script return to Bournemouth for their brand new European tour

Irish rock band The Script returned to Bournemouth as part of their new tour to promote their sixth studio album Sunsets & Full Moons.

The trio performed one night at the Bournemouth International Centre, supported by British singer Becky Hill.

Their 32-date tour will see the band travel across the UK and Ireland, before embarking to Europe to finish in Amsterdam.

Fans started queueing early in order to get the best spot to see the band in action. One of these people included Rhea, who had been at the venue since 9am that morning.

“I’ve been a fan since around 2008, when they’re namesake album was released”, said Rhea.

“It’s my fourth time seeing them live in concert so I’m looking forward to seeing their new songs being performed live”.

Rhea also spoke about how fans have created a community through following the Irish band: “I’ve met with fans at concerts and online, and chatted with them casually but I do know loads of the band’s other fans have made friendships because of them.”

Another fan who was queueing from the early hours was 21-year-old Julia from the Netherlands.

“This is my 23rd show and counting! It’s the first concert of this tour that I’m attending so I’m super excited.”

“I’m here with a big group of people and we’re leaving for the Brighton gig right after the show. It’s really exciting!”
