Why I Haven't Been Writing
The world is having a tough time at the minute. Every day is spent in the sanctuary of our own homes, and we're not really sure of when things will go back to normal. If anything, we'll have to start getting used to 'the new normal'.
Like many others, I've been in quarantine for weeks (I'm currently on day 51 of isolation) and it's been a hard adjustment. I left my university life in Bournemouth and I've been based at home in Durham since mid-March, with the majority of my studying moving to an online format. Before the madness of the virus, I had been fairly active with this site, starting new weekly/monthly write-ups and recommendations. But when assignments and coursework started to climb, I neglected my blog. And the craziness of Coronavirus didn't help either.
However, I've now got a great deal of free time on my hands - even more so than I originally anticipated - and after some great motivation through university seminars about building your online profile, I'm back.
I know I've sung this song before and promised more content and creativity on this site BUT I really do mean it this time. When the world is in crisis, the least that I can do is share something that might be able to provide some relief. Plus, there is plenty of stuff that I can write about considering we've all got more time now to explore that new series on Netflix or podcast on Spotify.
So expect new content at least every week, definitely on Sundays. I might even have something ready to post tomorrow! I've got some great feature ideas that I can't wait to get started and I'm hoping to start exploring video content also (we'll see where that goes though).
Looking forward to new and exciting things coming soon.
